Orange Cyberdefence – Waterloo AV Fit-Out

Client: Gaucho Restaurants

Location: Liverpool

Project Scope: To provide a comprehensive stage lighting and audio visual solution for Gaucho’s new Grade II Listed venue in Liverpool. The project included the installation of ten RGB DMX motorised stage lights with pan and tilt functionality, a tailored audio visual system quoting Bang and Olufsen, and alternative brands as recommended by our experts. The aim was to deliver a similar experience to M Restaurant Canary Wharf, ensuring multi-zone audio distribution, ease of control, and system flexibility. The solution also included provisions for DJ inputs and live stage audio.

Project Timeline: October – November 2022

Project Budget: Unknown

Stage Lighting

Lighting Solution:

  • Orbit 70W Moving Head Light: These lights offer versatile modes and colour options, making them ideal for both the stage and dance floor. Each moving head light uses 7 x 10W 4-in-1 LEDs (red, green, blue & white), providing a brilliant wash of colour that can be controlled and adapted to different settings.
  • Wide Coverage Area: The super-bright LEDs ensure that every corner of the room is illuminated, delivering an exciting and vivid display.

Control Interface:

  • Light Rider WiFi DMX Controller: This controller manages a variety of DMX systems, from basic RGB/RGBW setups to advanced moving and colour-mixing luminaires, DMX audio players, and fountains.
  • Features: The controller boasts 1024 DMX channels, clock/calendar functions, iPhone/iPad/Android remote control capabilities, WiFi facilities, dry contact port triggering, and flash memory.
  • Ease of Use: The lighting levels, colours, and effects can be programmed directly from an iPad using the included software, simplifying the management of the lighting system.

Audio Visual Solution

Amplifiers:

  • Q-SYS CX-Q Series Network Amplifiers: These combine robust power amplifiers, advancements in high-efficiency output devices, and native network transport, control, and monitoring capabilities.
  • CX-Q 8K8: Features eight channels, capable of delivering customised power output loading, with a total maximum power of up to 8000 W. Low-Z, 70 V or 100 V direct drive are available on all channels.
  • Built for Q-SYS: Simple drag-and-drop integration into your Q-SYS design, enabling network routing, advanced processing, and control.

Control:

We recommended QSC Control Q-SYS to suit the LEA amplifiers and all specified speakers, for source, zone, and volume control. This control interface is customisable to meet the client’s requirements and can include client branding. MADE Worldwide configured and programmed the bespoke QSC UCI interface in conjunction with the client and design team. A basic control interface with client branding was included, with additional programming costs applicable for more complex control scenarios.
